Campaigns

Tooting Labour are always getting involved in new campaigns, big and small, and if you would like to get involved too please email office@tootinglabour.org.uk.

Current campaigns:

No to the Education Cuts: the Conservative government is introducing a new funding formula that will see schools across Tooting have their funding slashed. The Wandsworth Guardian has reported that the NUT projects schools in Wandsworth will "lose £15,612,273 by 2020" which is equivalent to losing 419 teachers (see this article).

Tooting Labour Party are supporting teachers and parents in our local schools to campaign against these cuts.

Protect the NHS

The NHS is under massive pressure and yet continues to be underfunded by the Conservatives. There are currently five hospitals in south west London: St George’s, Croydon, Epsom, St Helier, and Kingston. The draft "Sustainability and Transformation Plan" suggests reducing this to three (page 28)!
