Kemi Akinola works in charity and has been running local community projects in Graveney for the past five years. Through the Wandsworth Food Partnership she is working to ensure good healthy food can be accessed and enjoyed by all in the borough. A member of neighbourhood networks, Kemi has a passion for ensuring Graveney is a positive, safe and enjoyable place to live, work or study. Kemi enjoys working with young people to expand their horizons, cooking and eating the food she cooked.
Kate first started working on the front-line of community campaigns when she trained as an advisor at Citizens Advice, helping people with housing and family problems. In Tooting, she has worked with Dr Rosena Allin-Khan MP to lead the Tidy Up Tooting campaign from 2016 onwards. As a local renter, Kate understands the pressures when private landlords suddenly increase rents, leaving tenants with soaring bills and in need of finding a new home. Kate’s favourite places to eat are Dip n Flip, Dawat, and Franco Manca.
Andy has been a Wandsworth Labour councillor for twenty-four years, representing Graveney Ward where he lives. He has helped hundreds of local people over this time with council issues such as housing and social services. As teacher Andy has seen at first-hand the effect of Conservative Government cuts on our schools. According to local constituents he can 'play a mean guitar'. Or more modestly he sings and plays guitar.
